The 5 elements are often discussed by my group of friends, Colleagues and Batch Boys during our training.
五行(5 Elements), is a chinese way to descride the relationship of natural phenomena. it has a generating and destorying cycle where each element is bonded by one another.
Follow through the circle in the picture, it is the generating cycle. The star on the other hand, indicates the destorying cycle.
