OMG... Failed my TP for the 3rd time
1 immediate failure with 32 points.
Immediate failure - fail to give way at a pedestrian crossing.
An old man walked towards the pedestrian crossing, I drove slowly while approaching the crossing.
God knows when the old man saw my car, he turned his way and stood at the pathway. Therefore, I didn't stop the car and proceeded on. and the examiner awarded me immediate failure.
Up to the present moment, I still think that its not fair for me lor.
Don't know the old man is there to play prank on me or what. Stand there and look at my car while I drove passed him.
Looking forward to my next TP scheduled on 29/04/09.

Banks are getting crazy for customers
The financial crisis has indeed affected banks earning greatly.
I received around 10 calls last week from telemarketers that represent banks to ask if I'm interested to take up their balance transfer and credit card.
Banks are just subcontracting their sales of all these products to different companies. and guess what... I received a call from a lady who asked me whether I'm interested to apply for HSBC credit card, which I'm already using. The worse thing is, I received 2 similar calls within a week. This is so disturbing.
Stan Chart is also another disturbing bank, they kept sending promotional SMS to me. Until the point, where I feel irritated and keyed in 'UNSUB' to send to 78722 to unsubscribe to the service. The question is, I never ever subscribe to their promotional stuff. Why are they spamming my phone? That is not all. 2 days later, I got a SMS from StanChart again. This time around, they stated 'SMS NO to 78722 to unsub'.
All I can say is that if banks were to continue such a behavior of just anyhow subcontracting to different telemarketing companies. Consumers just be irritated by them and possible stop support them to turn to local banks. Yes, all my encounters are with oversea banks.
They are so distrubing...

Spa Villa Trip at batam 3 - 4 Jan 2009 (Part 2)
Took some photo along the way to our unit...

Noticed each of the unit have its own air-con compressor and water pipe. the flooring of the unit is made of pieces of wood.

What a nice scenery from the balcony.
Can you see Singapore?
you can't see clearly from this picture. but from an real view of it, we can see the tiny CBD buildings and Singapore Flyer.
After we left our bags in the unit, we decided to go for our lunch and do some shopping. Therefore, we approached the receptionist for recommendation. Nagoya Hill was her recommendation. as we are both the 'anything person'. we decided to go for it, but the taxi fare cost us $200,000Rp.
In one of the Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre Chinese Restaurants ...

Our Food is here... 哇 哈哈!

After our lunch and shopping, it's time to go back to the resort for our spa session.

After the Spa and massage session, it was 7pm Indonesia time and 8pm Singapore. then we go for our candle light dinner just by the sea side.

Taste of the food is not bad, the service by the crew is good. but the wind is too strong and caused the table cloth on the fly.
As the wind was too strong, it wasn't a good place to be a meal. perhaps, 50% of what we ate are wind. That caused me to have the discomfort of throwing out, just after the main course.
Of course, as soon as we finished our main course, we left the place almost immediately. as for the bottle of red wine (it's free), we only poured two glasses and finished them. the remaining was left behind.
Woke up the next morning, its time for home sweet home,

Spa Villa Trip at batam 3 - 4 Jan 2009 (Part 1)
Alright! its the beginning of a brand new year. The first trip i went with zhao ren was to the Spa Villa in Batam. here's a close up shot, when we just arrived in the Harbourfront Centre.

Yes... this is me in the ferry. While attempting to go Spa villa to relax. I would also like to test if my balancing problem is getting better on an unstable platform. you can guess from my expression that i wasn't feeling well even i was sitting. :p

Feeling better when disembarked the ferry. what a relief... :D

After we exit from the immigration clearance, we were immediately received by the driver of KTM Resort and were shown the way of the minibus. I must say that their service is good when receiving customer. they sound friendly and always put on a smile. After we boarded the minibus, it took less than 5 minutes for the minibus to drove off.
The journey to the Resort from the ferry terminal took around 15minutes. When we arrived at the resort, i was like 'Wow'. It is a villa indeep, unlike the resort we have in downtown east with modern renovation style and decoration. instead, it looks like a kampong to me.
We stay in one of these units, where one house is divided into 2 units.

To be continue ...
Even we arrived earlier than the stated time of 0830H. we still need to queue for around 10-15 minutes to collect our boarding pass at the Advance Booking Counter. 4 items were collect from the counter, there were; the white card(ViSa), Boarding Pass, Return Ticket and the KTM Resort sticker for easy indentification at the ferry terminal of Sekupang.
